My main issue with this book was that it made me feel like mental illness was used as a plot device. It was used as the foundation to build a romance upon. This rather than it actually being a book about the lives, thoughts, and feelings of two teenagers who experience depression.

But once you got through that it went by so fast! One of the things that made it a very fast read is that it had extremely short chapters. I'm talking around 2 pages average and 8 pages max. The fact that the chapters were so small made it easy to keep saying "Just one more chapter".
Let's start by saying, this book was not at all what I expected it to be. Going into it I didn't know much about the premise of this book. To me, the synopsis made it sound pretty scary like a thriller or something. So I was surprised to see it was actually more of an adventure fantasy story.
