Hi, how are you doing? This wrap-up is 13 days late. That’s how I’m doing. Is it just me or is time going really fast recently?
In the month of October I finished up some of the last study related bits. My thesis was finally approved by the second reader so I have officially completed all of the requirements for my Masters in Clinical Psychology. Now it’s just a wait until I get my actual degree.
I’ve really started the job-hunting and I’m SO bad at it. I just get incredibly nervous sending out applications, but I’m trying to just go for it. Let’s hear it for all our job seekers. WE CAN DO IT!
A family member is moving in to a new home and the entire house needed to be painted. So me and my boyfriend got on it. The professional painter duo. Well… it took a lot longer than expected. So a lot of days were spent on it.
I took up knitting again. My plan was to knit socks for my boyfriends birthday… turns out that also took a lot longer than expected. It was my first time knitting socks, my first time even knitting anything in the round, and I messed up a bunch. BUT in the end I was victorious and my boyfriend now owns a pair of Nikki-original socks, made with love.
Still 8 books behind. Shocker. October wasn’t the best reading month. I read a bunch of books in the first week and then kind of fell off. I wanted to be caught up a little bit further by this point. It’s going to be tough to meet my goal (even more so since it’s now the 13th of November and I haven’t read anything else). I still have hope!
Again, not many posts in October, but I do think some of the Top Ten Tuesday posts I did are fun.
Some of the things I am reading this month will probably be:
First, I will be finishing up my current read, The Death of Mrs Westaway by Ruth Ware. I stared this in September. I haven’t finished it yet mostly because I’ve been struggling to pick up any physical books. But I’m really determined to finish it up soon!
I will be reading the Literally Dead Book Club‘s November pick, The Only Good Indians by Stephen Graham Jones. I’m very curious about this one. I know absolutely nothing about it and have heard a lot of differing opinions.
I’m still quite behind on my 2020 TBR lists, so I’ll be trying to get to more of those. Maybe Misery by Stephen King and The Dead House by Dawn Kurtagich.
That is a wrap! Now I’d like to hear from you…
How was your reading month?
Did you find any favorites?
How are you doing?
Thanks for reading and I hope you have a wonderful day!
