Hi, how are you doing? So… my last wrap-up was for February… let’s pretend that’s not a thing. To say these past few months have been chaotic is an understatement.
This month I finished up my internship, which is weird. I was an intern for 6 months but in some ways, it felt more like two. Which is both a good and bad thing I guess. When I last mentioned it on my blog I had just started and now I’m already done.
I’ve worked hard on my thesis. Talking to others has made me realize that’s a pretty a common thing, to absolutely suffer through writing your master thesis. But I do feel like it’s gotten out of hand. I absolutely hate it with a burning passion. So I’ve spent a lot of time working on it and will be handing it in tomorrow. Hopefully to only receive a few small final remarks from my supervisor and send it on to the second reader soon. I’m so ready for this to be over.
I’m slowly getting back into reading. I’ve been having some trouble recently with staying focussed while reading, so I started to watch more shows/movies and read less and less. I’m so happy to finally be getting back into it! I’ve noticed I really start to miss reading when I stop reading for a while. Which is good 🙂

So… because 2020 has decided to be the most chaotic year ever, I recently lowered my yearly Goodreads goal to 62 (1 book more than I read last year). Let’s be honest, 72 books was pretty ambitious anyway. Even with this lowered goal, I’m still 9 books behind schedule. But that’s totally still manageable, right? Right. I’ll keep telling myself that.
I didn’t post many things this month, seeing as things were still pretty chaotic and I’m slowly getting back into the swing of things.
One post I really liked was my TBR update post, in which I organized all the lists I made at the start of the year and looked at how I’m doing so far… spoiler: It’s not great.

Some of the things I am reading this month will probably be:
I will be reading the Literally Dead Book Club‘s September pick, Cathrine House by Elisabeth Thomas. I know absolutely nothing about this book but I’m excited to go in blind.
Some other books I just very much feel like reading soon are The Astonishing Color of After which I have been meaning to read for a long time, and You Should See Me in a Crown by Leah Johnson because I’ve heard nothing but amazing things.
Since I’m quite behind on my 2020 TBR lists, I’ll be trying to get to some more of those too. Maybe A Phoenix First Must Burn edited by Patrice Cladwell and Dead to Her by Sarah Pinborough.
That is a wrap! Now I’d like to hear from you…
