WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Sam @Taking on a World of Words. The aim is to give an update on your reading accomplishments and future plans.
The three W’s are:
- What did you recently finish reading?
- What are you currently reading?
- What do you think you’ll read next?

It’s not you, it’s me. Maybe? Out of the 7 thrillers I picked up in the past two months I only rated 2 of them higher than 3 stars and 3 of them were even below 2.5 or 2 stars. What’s up with that? Why are they all turning out to be so disappointing?
Run Away by Harlan Coben || I was NOT impressed by this one. It started off strong but then different people were introduced and I got confused… and then bored. The mystery of what was going on seemed pretty obvious from around the halfway point and from there I was just kind of waiting for the end. There were some surprising details but they were definitely not enough to save the whole thing.
Witch Hat Atelier Vol 3 by Kamome Shirahama || THIS MANGA IS GORGEOUS. If you’re not usually into manga but you want to try something out, try this one! While reading I’m constantly blown away by how amazing the art is and the story is so interesting as well. Some key things: witch apprentice, creating magic from drawings, fighting evil dark witches.
The Astonishing Color of After by Emily X.R. Pan || I don’t think I’ve read a page of this since last week. It’s not that it’s not great, It’s just heavy and I’m a bit scared haha. I feel like this week I’ll just pick a day and read this entire thing.
The Afterlife of Holly Chase by Cynthia Hand || I heard good things about this last Christmas and this year it has popped up again on some people’s blogs. So I gave it a go with the audiobook. I’m about 2/3 of the way through and enjoying it. Though I somewhat have to control my inner Grinch because of all that romance.
The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides || I’ve read most of the books in the Goodreads Awards mystery/thriller category, but not the winner. I couldn’t find it anywhere so I gave up on it, but then my library (which only has 2 shelves of English books) had it! So naturally, I snagged it right away. I’m enjoying it so far, so fingers crossed for one final good thriller this year.
I think it might just take me all week to finish the three books I’m reading, so I’m going to focus on that!
These are the books I have recently read, am currently reading and plan to read next.
Have you read any of these books?
What was the last book you finished?
Thanks for reading and I hope you have a wonderful Christmas day
(or just a wonderful day if you don’t celebrate)!
