Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme hosted by @TheBrokeAndTheBookish. You make a list that fits the themes. The goal is to list 10 things, but more or less is allowed. They also encourage you to put a different spin on the topics so they fit your own listing needs.
The topic is an early celebration of father’s day. “Father’s Day related Freebie: favorite dads in literature, best father/daughter or son relationships, books to buy your dad, worst dads in literature”. I decided to go with a little bit of a different approach and share with you, some of the weird and funny ‘dad’ titles I found.
My favorites are definitely ‘my dad thinks he’s funny’ & ‘Rent-a-dad’. I also can’t get over the boy’s face on the cover of ‘my dad is a butthead’. He looks like he’s fed up, ready to pack up his shit and never come back. What I love about the last two books is how it looks like the covers have the same dude on it, just with a different hat.
While searching for these, I was absolutely bombarded with trashy romance books about dad’s, stepdad’s and dad’s best friend. What is that all about? Why is that a thing? I don’t want to think about that while I’m doing a post that is supposed to be for father’s day… let’s just move on…
